In celebration of National Tree Week 2025, SVC Care Communications reaffirms its commitment to sustainability through its ongoing tree sponsorship initiative with Crann Trees for Ireland.
Since the initiative’s launch in 2020, SVC Care Communications has proudly sponsored the planting of over 2,500 native Irish trees, and that number is continually growing.
National Tree Week, organised by the Tree Council of Ireland, is an annual event celebrating the beauty and importance of Ireland’s trees. This year, SVC is proud to align its tree sponsorship initiative with this national movement, further highlighting the importance of planting native Irish trees and the positive impact this has on our environment.
Planting Partnership
For every Nurse Call System that SVC install, a tree is planted to represent each resident or patient in that healthcare facility, whether it’s a nursing home, hospital or community nursing unit. Furthermore, SVC sponsors a tree each time a customer makes a purchase from their range of Fall Management products.
To commemorate their part in this, each care facility receives a framed ‘Certificate of Tree Planting’ for display to residents, staff and visitors.
“This initiative is a meaningful way for us to give back to the environment while strengthening our relationships with the care providers we work with” noted Trevor Lucey of SVC Care Communications “The response has been overwhelmingly positive, many clients and their residents have been deeply moved by the idea that trees are being planted in their name.”
All trees planted through this initiative with Crann Trees for Ireland are native species, supporting biodiversity and Ireland’s precious ecosystem. Established in 1986, Crann is Ireland’s leading tree-planting organisation, dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of our native trees and hedgerows through community and school-based projects.
As National Tree Week inspires individuals and businesses to understand and appreciate the importance of planting trees, SVC is committed to expanding its sustainability efforts and making a positive contribution to the environment wherever possible.
With almost 3,000 trees planted to date, the company is excited to continue its highly successful partnership with Crann Trees for Ireland for many years to come.
